FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
MAKEUP
Do you do hair and makeup?
No unfortunately I only offer makeup services at this time.
How long does it take to complete a full face of makeup?
A full face of makeup takes roughly 45-60 minutes based on the type of beauty look.
Do I need to provide my own makeup for the appointment?
No! I provide everything. I have it all, including moisturizers and false eyelashes. However, if you have a product you cannot live without and must use it on your wedding day, I will be more than happy to apply it.
What if I have lash extensions? What would you recommend for weddings and events?
Lash extensions are great for everyday wear, but they’re not my favorite for weddings for several reasons, mostly because it’s hard to control shadow falling into them and because we aren’t able to use waterproof eyeliner or mascara, which is a must for weddings and events you need your makeup to last all day long. If you have lash extensions, I recommend skipping a fill before our trial so we can experiment with false lash strips, which bring more glamour than what you’re used to seeing on your eyes every day. We can chat more about lash extensions when we meet for your trial.
What do I need to prepare for the trial session?
During the trial, it is strongly recommended photos of the dress, accessories, and any photos related to the wedding theme. With as much related information given, the better the artist can tailor and prepare for a unique and elegant appearance of the bride.
When is the best time to schedule a trial session?
2 to 3 months prior to the event.
Do I need to put on any skin products before receiving the service?
For facial cleansing the night before, one just needs to apply toner after washing their face. Following this procedure, will help facilitate the artists to apply makeup primer and makeup setting spray during the next day more efficiently.
What form of payments do you accept?
E-transfer and Cash Payments are accepted at this time.
What brands do you carry in your kit?
We use a variety of brand such as Dior, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, MAKEUP FOREVER, MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Benefit, etc.
WEDDING
On the day of the wedding, should I do hair or makeup first?
It's recommended getting your makeup done second last on the wedding day as you should have hair done first before makeup as any heat or hairspray may affect the makeup.
Are there any preparations needed for getting my makeup service on my wedding day?
Why is a trial so important?
To ensure the perfect look for your wedding day, a trial session is strongly recommended. Trial session are a preview session for our bride to try out the makeup design for their wedding day. A successful trial session will take around 2 hours typically. By completing a trial the bride is offered a chance to experience the beauty she would become on the wedding day. This also provides the opportunity for the artist and the wedding party to collaborate and share ideas on any improvements or changes pertaining to the bridal's look for the wedding day.
